How heavy is a standard Celica RA40 & RA60

I am asking because I need to know if I can tow one of these with a regular V6 Magna, and power to weight ratio is of interest to me too.
The TA22 looks nice and light, but it is the RA40's & 60's that seem to be going really cheaply at the moment (I'm talking $500 just out of rego).
TIA
- Rob.

From memory, an RA40 is just under 1100kg and an RA60 is about 1150. RA65's are a fair bit heavier (thanks to IRS)... I think they're more like 1200kg.

My RA40 was 975kgs. Queensland transport dude looked it up in their books for me.

That doesn't sound right... even an RA23 is around the 1100kg mark, with the same engine and drivetrain in a smaller shell!

That is what i thought too.
But the dude was from the mods section at qld transport.
I thought the ra23 was about 950kgs and ta22 was about 925kgs?
They were the numbers i always heard.

You heard wrong. Approx 950 for TA22 and 1100 for RA23/28.

actually the RTA lists the RA23/28 as under 1100kg,
im pretty certain they have 1050kg on rego papers.
whether that is its true weight is another question altogether.

ra65 is down at 1140kg on the rego
that must be with 4 space saver tyres, no fuel, no oil, no coolant.... and probably no radiator or air con or doors
my guess would be closer to 1200, with a minimum of fuel, and full oil & coolant
but I never had it independantly weighed... I think max had his weighed.

My RA60 weighed 1220kg in full street trim with 3/4 tank of petrol.
On the papers, I think it's down at 1175kg or so... Not sure.... My memory is unreliable at the best of times...
