try a place that makes plastic cobras. They usually have some nice wheels on them. You could look in Australian Classic Car mag for classic wheel specialists.
Thanks

Goos to see in the specs it includes a speedo cable!
Why is it called Eleanor? After the car in the original "Gone in 60 seconds"? (late 70's) If so this was available on dvd around christmas for $14-95. One of the best chases ever.

the original 'gone in 60 seconds' whole purpose was a movie that only involved a car chase and the rest was made around that, which was awesome

dont you mean 351\392 windsor?
and its running a holley... how lame:P
you should really look at some cobra kit car, much faster and lighter than 'elanor'

Cobra replicas handle not the best - they are based mainly on torana running gear in the front - which sucks
the mustang would be the better bet
And the new shelby one either comes with a tuned 351 - or a big badass 427 with supercharger ..

steady on the language - and its been well documented that the cobra replicas suffer a lot in the handling dept ..
if your used to taily backends and plenty of torque you can get goodness out of them , but its a hell of a job to do ..
the robnell's for example have been criticised for having way too much ower for the chassis to balance out ..
just repeating what ive read by qualified road testers

Hang on, hang on... you're trying to tell us that Toranas are good handlers? Holy crap dude, those things (excluding semi-race specials) handle like a bucket of dog poo, as did most locally-produced cars from the era. Sounds like you need to get your bum into something a bit more modern... you might be surprised to learn that Toranas are nothing to write home about!

Torries, as fun as they might have been as foolish 18 year olds, are nothing to write home about. Cobra kit cars might look the goods, but unfortunately don't deliver on the track. I'll accept that they do look and sound mighty fine, but for their weight and power, they seem to be perennial back markers. There must be a reason for this.

what i was getting at was the front ends are usually adapted from toranas ( ie the front suspension setup - and all the bits that make up the steering .. Toranas handle like poo - yes so they inherit some of the problems - Couple this to a bloody big engine up front - and light ass body and your in for trouble ..
A real driver would be able to compensate for the design flaws inherited from the torrie - but they are there .. bad front end setup , that doesnt do the car justice .. Enlighten me - were the original Shelby AC's setup with a similar front end? they did handle Ok for a pre 1970 roadster - but for a kit car they couldnt compete with a clubman or a Gt40 replica in the twisties ?

isnt this a toyota forum ?
if i had the money id go a 427 big block chev in the ta22 but i dont so im going the 1uz, still id like to have the chance to race one of you donkeys on the track in one of these cars that i bet you are never going to get to drive so why say it handles better than such and such car if you cant direct comparison, like a timed race on a actual track
anybody ?
cheers a lot
