Im restoring my '74' TA 22 Celica. Does anyone know how the @#$% to replace the vertical weather strip that is attached to the small window (not the window on the door, the small one at the back of it) that winds up and down ?

Mate,
Wind the rear window right up. Right at teh base of the seal there is a small screw. Take it out and then slide the seal downwards into the rear quarter panel recess.
Slide the new one in and put the screw back in. The chrome part stays on the window, only the seal slide off.
Good luck,
Simon

Simon,
Thanks very much for the directions on replacing the weather strip on the rear side window.
Is the weather strip around the entire door area as easy to replace?
Do you know where I can get a Brand new weather strip that goes all the way around the from the front pillar to the back of the rear side window? Toyota only had the weather strips for the 2 rear side windows.

I don't know if Toyota sell them, but I purchased them from Rare Spares recently; from memory they weren't too costly.
