Bolting CT26 to 3TGTE Tue, 11 March 2003 04:38 Go to next message
Hi just wondering what things need doing to bolt a Single entry CT26 to a 3TGTE? I have been told its just the water lines, dye grinding the inside of the factory manifold to match turbo and also slightly redrilling turbo mount holes. What else do i need to factor in?
regards

you're on track with all of those things, plus modify oil drain & oil feed as the turbo sits lower (you might get away with re-bending the oil feed, but I made a new one), fabricate a new dump pipe & obviously modify the intake & outlet pipes.

Cheers

might have to get creative on the air intake of the turbo if you're gonna be still using the stock efi system and the stock arm/intake arm.

you can bend the oil pressure line but you'll still need to make a new oil drain line. need to fab a different pipe after the compressor and new dump pipe. ..and everything else you said.

slot the turbo mount holes to fit the manifold.. while it's out. .port the turbo manifold a bit.
