Twin Turbo Soarer wheels and tyres Tue, 11 March 2003 11:08 Go to next message
I have a set of Soarer TT wheels for sale.

They are in good condition with no scrapes although the little plastic centre is a little discoloured...lost the paint.

The tyres are Jap tyres. 2x A jap brand that look nice with 40% tread and 2x Dunlop studless snow tyres that are brand new. They look mean and would be great for anyone that goes near the snow. I'd say they would be expensive to buy new.

I am open to any offers.

Cheers Steve

I can have pics ready by next monday. THey are at my parents place.

They are 5 stud and not sure what they will fit but I know they will fit a VL commodore (my old car). VX Commodore (parents car). 300ZX (my car now has 300ZX ones on now with no mods) and Soarer.

I have no idea how much 2nd hand wheels and tyres go for...especially snow tyres. Open to offers.

You've listed 2 different stud patterns there. Are they multi-stud wheels ?

Commodores use 5x120 PCD
Soarer/300ZX use 5x114.3 PCD

Are these genuine Soarer wheels (ie. factory ones) ?
Cos I'm looking for a set of factory Soarer wheels as an alternate set of wheels. (18" wheels aren't always practical)

87seca, the V6 variants of the Camry/Vienta share the same pattern as the Soarer also.

Hmmmmm I'm confused now. I am guessing that they would go on the Commodores because I have what looks like a 16 inch Police Chaser wheel as a spare. I'd say the soarer wheels are factory. They have Toyota stamped on them and my car is mega standard (even the doily seat covers Razz they are off now though)

And your worrying me too....so 18's aren't practical are they?? That was the reason I was selling them...to get 18's. Should I keep the 16's in the garage and have the 18's as well or just not get 18's full stop? Ohhhh I love the look of 18's!!!

I'm not totally against 18" wheels. I love them cos of their looks/size, but on longer drives on bumpy roads, they are a complete pain. Watching out for every pothole is annoying, and I have super-low suspension, so every bump is felt right through the car.

I wanted a set of 16" standard Soarer wheels for times when I know roads will be crap or when I'm poor and can't afford new 18" tyres (like right now). Any chance of a pic of the wheels you have for sale ?

Don't let what I've said put you off. They aren't that bad.

Bounty, cool keep in touch.
Any chance you are coming down this way in the future ?
I still want to play with that air-box one day.
