thats all.. 'im excited!'
Cheers

So, mill back Y piece, weld on mounting plate for Ford TB, match port and off you go?

exactly.
just got home and measured it all up... fits PERFECTLY. almost made for it.
the Y pipe runner internal dia is 51mm (but when i mill a face on the Y section, they will be cut slightly oblique, so they will be an elipse of 51mm (high) by about 54mm (wide).
the spacing between the t/b butterflies and the section of Y pipe where ill cut it down too is damn near perfect, and the overall dimensions fit up well, seeminglyno fouling of other members such as rocker covers etc...
cheers

i should add...
did a quick bit of maths on the fractional opening SA of the throttle plates to look at how much of a difference there is at low angles and WOT etc etc...
basically, at low angles of throttle, the twin 57mm has 70% more open surface area than the original single 60mm. compare this to an 80mm single throttle body which has 90% more open SA at low angles compared to stock 60mm.
HOWEVER, at WOT, the twin 57mm setup has 80% greater open SA compared to stock single, and this is actually the SAME as a single 80mm.
so, basically, it'll still be a mild bitch for normal street driving, but nowhere near as bad as a single 80mm t/b, but at WOT it should flow number VERY similar to an 80mm - best of both worlds really. then theres the advantages of higher port speeds etc which im yet to look at too hard...
i really have to look harder into adapting a cammed throttle cable onto it i think
cheers

So what sort of inlet pipe do you need to connect to that

Pretty awesome.
Makes me sad i gave up on the twin TB path
You shall report all findings.
Now did that cost you a pretty penny being off the 'cobra' or is itoff the run of the mill mustang (falcon).

Yeah from my recent trip to the states you could say
mustang = falcon (common as hell)
cobra = GT Falcon (pretty uncommon)

Good for you, mate! That's one of my "down the track" things...A twin throttle-body setup on the 1UZ...and your numbers make some kind of sense to even the mathematical "never-weres" among us!
(I guess for that you should read: Sound engineering has it's roots more in common-sense, than in pure numbers, and that isn't a dig...)
