1GGTE ECU - adaptability? Any good? Thu, 13 March 2003 07:52 Go to next message
Just wondering if the 1G ECU is any good at adapting to changes such as ditching the stock twins for a moderately sized turbo (eg t04). Obviously it's not going to be ideal and clearly you're not going to make great power... but can it cope to a point where the thing will drive and still go better than it did with the twins... WITHOUT BLOWING UP?

Has anyone actually had experience with this?

Since it's an AFM, it'll be able to cope with a LOT, but if you're sticking a T04 in, you'd better upgrade the fuel system or else the engine will blow itself to pieces.
