RA60 Celica brake upgrade?

Does anyone know if there is an easy upgrade available for an RA60 Celica? Braided lines, good fluid, slotted rotors, and good brake pads are the screamingly obvious... but are there any larger rotor/caliper combinations that are available from wreckers that will bolt on?

Not really... The standard brakes are pretty damn large already.
You could try to stick the MA61 Supra twin pot calipers on.

Where did you get that from Nark?? The MA61 doesn't have twin-spot calipers, they have the same front brakes!

From what I know, the calipers are different.
The brake pads are different, I know that for sure 'coz I've compared them.

Having looked at the pair of them, I couldn't see much difference at all. They are both just big singles.
I thought we talked you out of this before?

MA61 calipers are single piston units. They have larger pads than RA60's, but I believe the RA65 was upgraded to Supra-spec brakes.
As for upgrades, there are no easy bolt-ons that I'm aware of. ed_ma61 from these forums is working on an MA61 upgrade kit which consists of 330mm Wilwood rotors and ST205 GT4 calipers; I'm not sure how far he's progressed with that project though. Check out his web site for more info.

Ah wellz. Looks like I'm wrong. Bugger. Why do I seem to remember having a discussion about how the Supra had twin pots.

To my knowledge all 70 series Supras - GA, MA and JZA, run the same single pot calipers and 300mm vented rotors. The TT JZA80's run a 2 pot caliper and the later TT JZA80's run four pots. Not sure about the atmo ones.

guys, theres nothing really on the site about the brakes, just some generic shit about rotors etc (which, btw norbie are 315mm not 330mm). its just ive noticed a lot of people hitting this site from your link above, and theres nothing there to greet them - yet...
