I have heard good things about Jap Performance but as the ad says, No warranty and parts may be missing... I wouldn't get anything from there with that being said...

they are pretty dodgy, i wouldn't buy any part unless i was absolutley certain the part has no defect apart from the obvious. Unless you know everything about the part.

I'd buy a panel from them and thats about it.

I was out there with a mate who was looking for engines and we saw the guys out the back, start a 13b turbo half cut and within 5 seconds revved it over the 8500 rpm mark with no water in it.

My mate got it on digital camera and it is the funiest thing you've ever seen!!! Bogan's *ucking engines!

My personal experience with Jap Performance have all been good. The ad in question is clearly for them to clear out some engine that are not up to there normal quality standards hence the low prices.

As for reving an engine with no water.... Water keeps them cool, Oil keeps them lubricated. It is common practice to run engines for very short periods of time with no water in them. (Unless they have a water cooled Turbo of course ! )
