OKies, this is a price for the oldest MR2 they got, this is from the little red book
1987 TOYOTA MR2
AW11 Coupe 2dr Man 5sp 1.6i (Rel. Nov)
trade in price guide* $4,200 - $5,500
national average price - private sale* $5,200 - $7,600
price when new (RRP) $31,400
So with mods maybe $8k aint such a bad price  ....sadly I aint got that sorta money, and it aint a MA61
