i'd love an APEXi one, but they cost like $500 each, so i was wondering if anyone has seen any around, in other brands that look the same, in SSteel for a much better price, ie under $200???

What's that phrase? "Tell 'im he's dreamin'..."

a stainless muffler will not be had new from anywhere for under $400.

my advice would be to try import wreckers if you have to have the current fad in mufflers. buy a 2nd hand unit off of an FTO or such, and get it chopped off and welded onto your celica.

Try and find Kangz, they were on special because of the Auto Salon, he does work for them from time to time. They are really good quality, they make them all themselves, they just lack that "HKS" or "Apex'i" name which makes the others expensive.

Cypher Industries
2/9 Blamey Place
O'Connor, WA, 6163

Tel : (08 ) 9331 8488
Fax : (08 ) 9331 8466

Speak to Gary. They may not do retail quantities though, but doesn't hurt to ask.
They did my full exhaust 3' downpipe, cat, 2 resonators, muffler.
They were my regular shop in Perth and seem like good guys.
BTW they also make catch cans and air filters.

thanks for all the ideas guys... i do know ssteel mufflers are available cheap... i've seen some as cheap as 160 at places like autobarn, but none in the true N1 style... i want a 2in in and a 3.5, maybe even 4in out, noone's got one that want to sell?

another thing, what do you think of the idea of a rude, fat, arrogant, drifter exhaust muffler angle on a classic celica? hehehe... joke!!!

http://www.sromagazine.com/store/muffler/

still, i'd prefer something in australia, and something in 2inch
