media media media..........
The 'fuckers' and 'pricks' you are referring to apply to a small minority of the suffering country (ie: saddam hussein and his alliances) NOT TO THE IRAQ POPULATION.
Lives will be lost, MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS, lives so innocent that a bomb will destroy their country in which they have tried to live without any war.
It's quite sad, but we ignorant masses have no experience to how these Iraqi's lives are lived, and all we can do is listen to little Johnny and his lies, conforming to this oppressing U.S. led war.
This war is racist, wrong, immoral and illegal.
'Compromise, Conformity, Assimilation, Submission, Ignorance, Hypocrisy, Brutality, the elite.........all of which are American Dreams.'

unfortunately i think the invasion of Iraq to eradicate people like goddam insane (suddam hussein)and his followers, is something that has to happen..
the bad thing about it is innocent people will be hurt and killed during this process..
i also think that maybe, and i stress MAYBE Australia needs to be involved to protect the long term interest of the Australian nation, and to prove to other rogue countries that we will not lay down and have the abilty to protect ourselves if ever needed to do so.
i agree that it Bush'es war, and i at first have been very much opposed the involvement Australia in this war. but now i am very much undecided and leaning towards, yes..
one thing don't agree with is these people who think that protest will stop any of it..
half the people that protest 'NO WAR, NO WAR' would not even understand why there may (and looks like now) WILL be a war against Iraq in the first place. i find these protests nothing but a waste of time and nothing but a bunch of people making noise that will NOT be listened to by the people that actually have any say if there is a war or not..
have a listen to this:
http://komo1000news.com/audio/kvi_aircheck_031003. mp3
it just proves my point 'some' protesters do not know what the hell they are talking about!!!
i am done for now....

Now hold on just a second now,
first of all, as i heard from at least two people they haven't stopped dropping bombs on iraq since the gulf war,
second of all, how is protesting AFTER they drop the "first" bomb going to stop the war? its already started by this time.
third of, last of all, while i do agree that something does have to be done, i'm not so sure a war is it.
whats wrong with sending in a couple of guys who know their sht to take out all the baddie stuff
and what about north korea? what are we going to do about them? it isn't so much that saddam isn't bad, its that other people are so much worse.
people protesting this "racist" war haven't offered any solutions, they just want the war to stop.
and finally finally, why are australians going there? surely they will just get in the way of the americans (although good luck to all the aussies who are there)

Have a little read here. Nice war discussion raging on Performance forums.
War talk
North Korea are just sabre rattling. They just want some attention because the US is being a bit difficult about some power plant technology. They do this every so often but in the current global climate, people get a bit jumpy.

Cool1 - 'mislead'
The real deal is that, either you sit on your couch with an ice cold beer and be complacent with your lifestyle ignoring the occurrences happening, or you be active and speak of what you think of this government and the decisions made.
The war is inevitable, we all know that.
But as an Australian, and a democratic citizen, we need to dignify ourselves showing that a decision made by the Howard government is totally outrageous, and that today was a black day for Australia, sending in OUR troops and putting their lives on the line- when there was another alternative.
76% of the Australian population said 'NO' to this war, go figure......
People putting 'No war' stickers on the backs of their cars might not know the full extent of this war, and what exactly is happening, but who is it for you or me to judge their knowledge? They at least have a mindset of what they think about the situation......
It's plain and simple, black and white.
That this IS in fact a democratic society, and that we protest in a civil manner, to have our say to a decision made by Mr Howard.
Or you can sit on that couch and enjoy that ice cold beer......(yes I know you will say 'I'll choose to sit on that couch and enjoy that ice cold beer')- It just shows the attitude of 'I don't give a flying fuck, just kill Hussein and get it over with, it's annoying and petrol prices are too high'......

Nothing in War is ever Black or white ... that's why there is war !
and you should practice what you preach sit back let the government to there job and dont get in the middle of the city causing trouble getting police to go there taking them away from more important issue's and blocking off traffic and people who are trying to work and be constructive, we have government to govern the country and we elected them so we must approve of them.
A hard reminder , the greens didnt want the bush around canberra to be controlled via burning off , now people lost there lives and houses the greenies dont want anything to do with it.
listen to that audio clip and then put yourself in the seat off that "Little chirping girl" and answer the questions she could not!

What the fuck?
Where would you be be now if the wars of the past never happened? You just think about that for a bit!
You should also think about what could/would happen if everyone just sat back and left that suddam shmuch keep on creating biological diseases and weapons of mass destruction! Also ask you self why he would be doing this!
Maybe you should also think about the consequences of Australia telling the US to fuck off and fight their own war! What would happen to Australia if someone announced war on us? We would need the help of the US!
These are all the little things that need to be considered!
It would not of been an easy decision for Johnny, but I personally think it was a good one!
I a few of my mates and relatives will be in support over there! And I wish them luck.

Seriously guys, we all have to listen to enough arguments about motors & turbos & diffs & oils & fuels & cars, the last thing we need on these forums is an argument about politics.

I agree with this war also.
Since the gulf war Saddam has promised to "behave and cooperate" but has proved himself to be full of shit, every so often he does alittle bit to show that he is behaving but surly Desert Storm and Desert Fox prove that he has no intention of keeping in line. Its time for the world to wake up to Saddam and Show him what "behaving" means!
Yes I realize many innocent lives will be lost and no I don't know everything about the war either but should we risk our future by allowing this kind of deceit to continue.

It's interesting that the proponents of the war imagine that those opposed have "no idea" (a theme propagated in a number of the above posts).
Do any of you people actually have any idea WHY this war is being fought? (And, please, don't start about "disarming of rogue states", or oil, or any of that shit - the reasons offered by the politicians are anything but the "real" ones).
I mean, seriously, if you don't actually know why they're going to war, why would you give it your unequivocal support?
I might also add that I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Hussein and his followers, but it angers me that the Govt. of this and other countries uses regime change as an excuse to mask a much bigger purpose...

Racist?
The the terrorists who bombed bali and WTC must be racist too?
Sadam is immoral cos he kills his own people anyway!
Im 50 : 50 for and against war cos:
Against: If we have war, I reckon it will provoke more terrorist attacks around the world, especialy countries involved in this war.
For: Sadams a jellybaby f**kwhore and needs to be wiped out, to give freedom to iraqi people. Sure there will be civilian casulties, but look how many iraqi people sadam killed himself over the years...i heard about 1 million. I dont think that many people will die in this war.
Thats just my 2 US quarters.

Paul - that is absolutely 100% correct
Now on a note about uni students and their wasting of time on this whole war nonesense. I am a uni student. I don't care about the poor little starving scorpion in the Iraqi desert thats going to get squished by a tank. I would rather worry about the price of beer at my uni bar. (which mind you has now hit $3 a schooey!!!)
There are two types of people at uni - the ones who should be there, and the ones who are wasting university resources. These are typically engineers/scientists/lawyers/business etc, and ARTS respectively.
Yes, im an engineer. I find it sick that these arts students can find the time to bitch, whinge, complain, protest, rally, hugs trees, wear shitty clothes, smell bad, play bongos poorly etc while they are supposed to be studying!?!?!
I hardly have time to stratch my nads when im at uni!
Im sorry, but the whole rallying for a stupid cause gets to me. I sometimes have thought of protesting against protesters.
Oh, and i think Sadam is a little gayboy, and should be removed. And the whole whinge about the civillians - i would take a very educated guess that 90% of civillian deaths from the Gulf War were at the hads of Sadam's army, 5% were accidental, and the other 5% were possibly at the hands of the USA and allies. Pull the other one....

The only real thing I'm going to comment on is that whether the Aussie troops are there or not because we want them to be, they ARE there, one of the 3 nations. Have a look at the map of the globe on the back of the US media centre...they left us off!

LOL you know I respect you all.... but some of you have no fucking idea!!
Ok I think I will bite on this topic.... I know I know it has gone far enough but you know your friend SPEEDY has to open his mouth at any given opportunity. *phew.... relax....take a sip of water.... breath..* Ok here we go!!
Firsly, I do not like war! Having a father who went to war in the late 60's to the early 70's for 5 years straight in Angola, would you beleive it still effects him?? Well when you see your father waking up in the middle of the night, screaming in terror grappling your mothers neck in a headlock trying to kill her.... thinking that he is back in africa and that it is the enemy, you begin to wonder about the sanity of your father.
Being in the health field, Registered Nurse, war is like a slap in the face to me and my beliefs about looking after people.
Do you guys have any idea about the past relationship between Iraq and the US?? Ok just to put it breifley.... in the 60's Iraq, yes already led by Saddam (if you turn it around MADD AS), had quite strong relations with the US, Iraq viewed the US as their ticket to advancing their military and at the time more importantly economic status within the arab states, shit Saddam was getting Coke and Cadillacs and everything american into the country. The US was more than happy at the time to make friends with Iraq.... one for establishing a foothold in that region of the world, military wise i beleive, and dare I say it..... OIL!! I'll be quick but what happend over the next 15 years saw the US fuck Saddam over royally to the point where he lost faith in their relationship and decided to break ties with the US. Saddam soon after had like a big conference where all his political friends, foes, military personal ir. commanders and such all attended. Needless to say not all of them left that conference. Saddam had a list of people who he beleived where planning against him or had betrayed him is some way or another, and a lot of these people had not done anything to jeopardize him, he was just paranoid about them. The were escorted away and had their grey matter sprayed all over the celing.
Over the years saddam has attacked and killed his own people that the numbers are just unbeleiveable could be more could be less but it is beleived it is close to at least the 1 million mark..... however this is not including the KURDS, which to me are Iraqis but saddam hates them and views them as a threat to him.... shit these people don't even have proper utensils to eat off let alone carry sophiticated weapons to put up some kind of resistance to saddam, the KURDS have been used as guinea pigs over the years for the testing of chemical weapons by saddam.
To the issue of sanctions and no mediacl supplies being allowed into iraq.. that is the biggest load of shit I have ever heared!! Iraq is a very rich country, though their wealth is spent on weapons rather than the wellbeing of its people.... saddam has like what ... 7 palaces, lives like a king while his people are struggling to get antibiotics for poor innocent little children. So don't try to feed me some shit about they are living poorly because of the sanctions put on them!!
As for the war....... hmmmmm like I said before, I don't like it. But it is time for combined forces to finish off what they where supposed to back in 90-91! and free this country from its shackles. One just hopes that the US will not destroy the Saddam regeime then try to rule the country themselves.... hopefully they get rid of him, assist the country in getting a new leader and helping them financially to rebuild the destruction that this war is going to bring upon them.
I'm out but before I go the case re: Civilians....... innocent people die everyday.....and its sad to see, but would you not rather see a nation free and able to prosper as opposed to being ruled and living in conditions we don't even allow our pets to live in.
I can only offer some advice that my fatehr always taught me to live life by.......
"ATTACK THE ENEMY AT EVERY INTERVAL,
AND KEEP OUR CASUALTIES TO A MINIMAL!!"
Fuck GOD bless America........
LETS BLESS EACH OTHER!!
SPEEDCORE!!!

These are the forums of the Toymods Car Club.
We allow some off-topic threads in our 'General Discussion' section.
Whilst I enjoy a good debate this is not the place to enter into political discussions, especially something as heated and controversial as this one.
There are hundreds of other websites, forums and chat rooms in which this would be more appropriate.
THIS THREAD HAS BEEN LOCKED.
