Tanman, don't forget the price of these when new was over 80 grand. That stuff on there isn't cheap either, neither is the fact it makes 180kW at the wheels...all four of them.

whos the dreamer tanman! at least i own the car. when you can own one of these then you have the right to open that mouth of yours till then keep it shut on things you obviouly dont have a clue about. if there are gen interested buyers i welcome you reply or even those who wabt to see mods or dyno for the rest pls keep your opinions to your self. thanks joe.
by the way tanman look in the red book it states the value on a standard gt4 is 40k if i sold retail and up to 36k wholesale this is with out mods.

his asking price is pretty legit - Especially for the ultra hard to find Aus Delivery 205's

A good st185 group a in Excellent condition still demands the 25K mark - and these are easier to find !

Good luck in your sale boost - though if it was me - id hang on to the bugger Smile 911 of that age Vs the ST205 - I know what would give me the bigger grin Wink

180KW at the wheels is pretty good - I only know of one other thats more powerful and thats Steve Bignall's Gt4 off this list -he has about 230Kw i think - but his st185 is INSANE Smile bloody nice machine toboot Wink

Frank,
Your pretty close on the original price, it was actually $89,000. I know this cause i have the invoice from the original owner for mine.

Boost is also right market value is still quite high and the price he's asking is very reasonable for the mods he's done and the power its making.

Good luck with the sale dude.

Yeah, I cehcked the Red Book, I knew they were worth a pretty penny still, and that they were really expensive when brand new.

Boost,

I have a 1979 Porsche 911 turbo body. Full ground up rebuild, blue pearl paint, custom leather interior, Recaro seats, $5K stereo etc.

I'm not after a Celica though (maybe a Supra with cash adjustment). Give me a call or PM if you sell your ST205 and still want a Porsche. Can provide pics if interested.

My Porsche has not been previously offered for sale but maybe the time is right.

Pics are no problem. Will take some tomorrow. What is your email address?

No sure but don't think it was Aust delivered. Bought it from Sydney about 6 years ago ... it was right hand drive when I got it but I think it had been converted.

The quote at the time of release of the 205 was that they were more capable than the WRX and only beaten by a 911 carrera 4 in lap times, but in bangs 4 bucks ....

If only I had a spare $40K

Good luck with the sale, but then again I'm just dreamin'...
