1G motors came out in the same construction cars (ie same firewall, inner fenders, chassis rails: celica, supra, corona) so engine mounts and crossmembers should be easy to source from a low volume import or half cut. See if you can find a GA61 celica/supra XX. These came out with 1GGE's so you can use the same bolt up bits. Swap the R series bellhousing on your standard gearbox for a G series to bolt up your motor to the box!

Not that simple I'm afraid... the GA61 Celica/Supra has a different chassis to the RA60 Celica. The crossmembers are not interchangeable.

The 1G into RA6x conversion is easily the most discussed and most thorughly documented engine conversion on ToyMods. Do a search, read the old threads, read the tech articles which have been kindly written for you, and then ask questions if you have any.

True that, having owned both GA61 XX and RA60 they are different.

As for whats involved, its not a total list of whats there, but I managed to remember the URL to Nark's OLD site cos he removed his other one Razz

Everything forward of the firewall is completely different... the Supra/CelicaXX chassis is significantly longer, and the chassis rails are further apart from memory.

Yeah, the wheelbase is longer, as is the length of the bay and the nose.
