SHES BACK!!
I got my CT26 back from a rebuild. Looks brand spankers now
OK, When I put it back in, I am told that I have to put some oil in the oil feed line. Is there anything else I should be doing?
Do I have to let the turbo run in at all? I mean I realise I'll have to sit it there for say 10mins and idle, but like how long should I give it till I can boot it?
I'm scared of screwing it up you would be too after spending $900 on it
It better go good!!!
Thanks !!

I took it to a place on the central coast, Central Coast Turbocharging. Very very nice bloke, I rang him a couple of times asking q's when I was fitting it back in and he was more than happy to give some advise.
I took it in Friday, had it back Thursday! They send it to another company, Dymanic Turbocharging, and they did the rebuild. They didn't receive it till Monday, they had to soak it in something cause there was heaps of carbon around the bearings... So it soaked for 2 days and they had it to me Thrusday arvo!
Very pleased with their service, would recommend them to anyone.

filling the oil lines is a good idea .
then after you have connected eveything .disconnect your ignitor (or something that will bot allow it actually stsart but wil stil crank over)
crank it over quite a few times this will help distribute oil.
then reconnect ignitor fire it up and let it idel for about two minutes then bring revs up slowly to about 1500rpm and hold for about 30 secs .
some say this is overkill but it takes 3 mins and then your sure the turbos have plenty of oil

Dont run synthetic oil either. Use mineral, something like GTX3. Thats what I run, synthetic doesn't give you enough oil pressure cause its too thin and isn't the right oil to use on an older enjine like the 7MGTE.
Was that just a rebuild or hi-flow as well?

synthetic oils dont have to be thinner. you can get plenty of grades that would be suitable.

Is the 10W Magnatec too thin?
