MA61 horn

i recently installed my new wheel/boss kit
but the horn doesnt seem to work now....
i reinstalled the old wheel and it doesnt work on that either so i dont think its the horn button.
however when i was taking the wheel off i had to drive it around and the plates that are inside the wheel that switch on the horn when u push teh wheel, were hitting the wheel and setting off the horn at random and were like sparking and stuff.
do u think i cud have blown a fuse cos thats what i reckon..
where is the fuse for the horn located?
thanks guys

The fuse for your hazard lights should be the same as the one for the horn. Should be HAZ-HORN in the engine bay from memory, could be wrong. IF its not, work out whats wrong, cos mine doesn't work either
Although I suspect mine is a result of some cut wiring

I had the same problem with my horn, it would go off at random, especially when it went past nice looking girls HEHE,
But seriously though, mine did have the problem and found that one of the wires had split exposing the wiring and would touch the metal plating. This would spark and trigger the horn.
Chances are that its a blown fuse or maybe its burnt through the wire?
Its a 15A fuse and it says HAZ-HORN and its in the engine bay.
Hopes this helps

It can't be a fuse though cause the keeps going off intermitently check the wiring in the centre of the steering wheel. You'll find it's not hooked up properly and is most likely arcing out on the metal boss.

well i played around with it las night
its not the fuse,
but the boss kit i guess has to be mounted in a certain position coz when i remounted it the horn seems to go off all the time
there is a little brass nob thing just above the hub and this connects to the base of the boss kit
all i have to do is work out how the kit shold be mounted and get the horn button fixed up
had to do a dogy tape job tho last nite coz i was beeping everyone on the road involuntarily.

There are special spring loaded electrical contacts mounted in the steering column where your new boss kit bolts on. Check you have the new boss aligned correectly so the electrical contact point on the bottom of the new boss will make contact in the right point.
