Heyas,
The rear suspension on me celica is absolutely shagged so im looking at replacing the shocks and using lowered springs. What can you guys suggest as the best shock/spring combo for front and rear that will get me the bets ride and at what price??? Is there anything that can be done to stop the rear end boggin down when taking off hard or should the new suspension pretty much stop it??? and also can anything be done to combat the camber on the rear once lowered???
Just another thing, i've seen in the US some guys have swapped the rear end off a supra into their celicas to use the LSD and rear disks, has anyone tired that here??? im looking at doing it soon and just seeing how much its gonna cost??? would my w55 box still be alright or should i look for a w58??? and if i get new suspension now will it still suit the supra rear end?
Thanks
Aden.

Koni shocks are awesome value. Highly recommended.
For springs, K-Mac do them, but they're damn firm. Depends on what you want, I love em.

The IRS subframe is attached to the floorpan with 4 big bolts. Basically you disconnect the tailshaft and brake lines, undo the 4 bolts, and the whole subframe drops out. Swap in the Supra subframe, re-connect everything, and you're done! It would be a very straightforward job for a suspension shop.
As for brakes, you may need to get rid of the proportioning valve for the drums when you convert to rear discs... not sure on the specifics with that though. You may also need to change the master cylinder?

i paid $400 for the complete rear end including shocks and springs from the wreckers
it was a straight swap from memory apart from having to do something small to the brake lines either move them a bit or add a bit of hose

Hmm... Can't really remember. I think the springs were $310 per pair.
Try http://www.k-mac.com.au/
The Konis were from Wholesale Suspension in Penrith. Can't remember how much it was, about $250 for a pair I think.... They were the cheapest that I found.
You can get them on (02) 4721 2112.
Firm springs will minimise the squat. My car is damn flat through corners, very nice. Big swaybars help too.
