need this special disc removal tool... i had the same problem with my soarer. Its like a long pointy shaft that sits on the disc and you turn a little wheel on the end and the threaded thinga-ma-jiggy pushes in and lifts the disc off

mine were INCREDIBLY hard to get off. Sorry i can't be more specific

No idea then sorry mate, mine was bloody hard to get off... it went clunk when the disc actually was removed.

All you can use really is one of those pullers and a lot of patience. After that you'd be best off taking it to a wheel place i'm guessing

Luke, you will see 2 threaded holes in the disc 'hat'. Thread bolts into these. Steadily do up the tension evenly on both bolts, and lightly tap around the hat with a rubber mallet. You will see the disc slowly and steadily come off.
The internal drum handbrake shoes grab on the internal contact surface and cause the disc to not come off.

Oops! Embarassed
The only other thing is use a big screwdriver levering against the shoes and the disc, and hopefully slowly easing it off.

When I replaced my ms55 with a 112 rear end I didnt know about any pullers. I just adjusted the handbrake shoes right off untilo it would come off. The problem was wear on the internal drum and the lip catching the shoe edge.

It's interesting. With the MS112 rear end in my road going Mk2, the discs just fall off.

New day, New energy, New kick arse rubber mallet, and I FINISHED THE BABY! hehe. No more pulse in the brake pedal from my cracked disc!! woohoo.

PS: .. just took lots of WD40 and banging around the disc surface not too hard until it worked its way through the rust. Thank god i kept at it and didn't take it up the road for the local machanic to have a laugh and take $60.

Thanks boys!!
