yep theyre identical and interchangable, i just swapped mine over the other day... only difference is: on the 5m starter, the mounting holes are NOT tapped, and the bolts pass through the starter and secure with nuts. on the 7m starter, the mounting holes are threaded, and thus the bolts just screw straight into the starter body. makes doing the bolts up a little harder, but thats it...
