Hey Guys,
I'm looking to upgrade the front brakes on the KE20.
Apparently TA22 struts are a bolt in fit (can anyone confirm this?)
If so i think this sounds like a good idea (still running a 3k)
But will i need to upgrade the master cylinder??
And what can i do this with?
Should i go for a vacuum system?
To be honest i really like the un-assisted brakes in it, but a larger master cylinder would be much better, esp when going for bigger calipers!!
I am not too sure about this but it might be worth checking out. A friend of mine I believe bolted in the struts and brakes (bigger dia plus ventilated) from a KE70 Corolla I think it was.

TA22 struts bolt in but u need to modify the lower control arm to fit. I had a ke30 with 4agze, and it had ta22 struts with 10.5" cressida discs with standard callipers/cylinder etc. It pulled up really well with just the larger rotors. That way u dont have to change the master cylinder or lines.
nICk..
p.s It was also unreal for burnouts cause rear drums were always full of diff oil anyway and the front wouldnt budge. Ahh memories.
p.p.s I didn't build the car so i cant take credit for the brake upgrade or even tell you who did the work, but i cant imagine it would be too hard.
