does anyone know the difference between an imported Aug 89' Corolla and an Aussie version. My compliance plates don't tell me nothing. I bought it thinking it was just normal but about 4 people have since said its an import and compliance plates are easy to change. Is there any little differences on the outside or in the interior which will show up what it is starght away. I know the engine is an imported 5A but don't know if it is standard.

It has different badges all over it. The back badges say 1.5 Limited. It has 1.6 on the sides. I bought it from a car yard. It does not have any electrics. It is a sedan made in Aug of 89. The grill is crome with the little red C badge on it. The tail lights are the ones that go over onto the boot or the longer two section ones. It has a 5A motor. The interior is brown. The whole car is a mystery, that is why I am curious to find out as much as I can about it. There is also a bet as to whether it is an import or not.
