	What should I do?

I've still got the 22R-E but its shot and need a new engine,

Thanks to you guys i've decided on the 18R-G. But I'm not too sure on which one i should get, 18r-geu or 18r-g.

Whats better or has more potential for power?

For a street engine, you can't beat EFI. The twin-carb version is actually fairly limited in power output unless you replace the carbs. Try pricing a new pair of Webers and you'll forget that idea pretty quickly!

the only reason id efi an 18RG is if i was going for a turbo.

having said that. ive never been in a fuel injected 18RG

better potential is always with efi. more fuel pressure (so you have less fueling hassles to getting big power) plus much easier to turbo.

having said that, I recall a guy with a nitrous sucking V8 that was carbied.

I think you'll find there's been MANY V8's (and other engines!) with carbs and nitrous

I'd go the EFI personally, especially if you want to go up with the cams a bit - carbs can tend to be terribly thirsty on a done up engine (I realise they don't always HAVE to be - but they seem to nearly always engine up that way!). For smooth running, easy starting and economy, EFI every time.

FWIW my 18R-GU originally came with factory Solex's, and I later converted to factory EFI, so I have experience with both. I can't think of a single thing the carbs did better than EFI, except perhaps for the fantastic induction noise you get with sidedraughts. Having said that, the car still has a pretty good induction growl with EFI!

in a word: WEBERS .........there is no better ROAR!

But for everyday driving, they suck (fuel), and are a bitch to have tuned properly. Also warming up the engine, babying the trottle, etc etc..... but i still love them webers!
