 diff upgrade for toyota corona

i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice...i'm currently in the process of modifying my '72 corona and i want to upgrade the rear diff as i don't think the current one will last too long after i get the new engine installed...can anyone offer any advice on what would be a suitable rear diff?

Between friends we have 45 coronas ranging from worked stockers to 20v weapons all with std diffs and not damaged any. All manual, dont know of any that are a narrow enough track
|

just the standard corona diff. i'm getting the rear brakes upgraded to discs and the guy i'm getting to do that suggested that if i'm going to upgrade the diff i'm better off doing that before getting the brakes done. having never done this sort of thing before i just thought i'd get some advice from people who know a bit more about it than me...

it's an RT-81 frame and i'm pretty sure it does have a T series diff.

The Skyline Borg Warner diff would be the cheapest option to have disc brake & LSD, and should can handle some HP too.

How wide is the corona diff? Same as the TA22? Cause I have a Borg warner here to suit a TA22!

How much power will this diff be required to handle? That's a fairly important thing to know before you decide on a diff to use...

In that case you're going to want something fairly tough - I'd recommend a Hilux conversion.
|
