Just wondering. This engine was introduced into the mk2 supra which is very similar to the celica.
So would this engine be an easy conversion or drop in, or difficult costly conversion?

...difficult, costly....

....and stupid.
The RA65 has a shorter engine bay than the MA61.

There is a huge difference, they are only similar from the firewall back and then it gets a WHOLE lot different Smile The Mk2 bay is a heap longer in length.

They got it, the end result of shoving a huge iron and alloy lump at the front of the short wheelbase RA65 would be a car that is mediocre in a straight line that would handle like a lead-tipped arrow through the corners.

No need to shit-stir celicamad85...

The 18R-GEU puts out more power anyway doesn't it? It's a great engine!

18R-GEU: 130-135hp
5M-GE: 150-170hp

Of course you can always put a bit of boost through the 18R-G, and that will make the RA65 get up and go!

Ah yes Grasshopper, but then you could boost the 5MG with EFI and then it would really boogie. Very Happy
