no way at all.
your engine could be almost brand new, or it could be just about ready to die

ah sorry, i didn't make myself clear i bought the rona 5 months ago witbh a 4 speed and an 18RC, we went to throw in the 18RGU and found it to be FUBAR'd, so we recon'd it, and got new 44's rebuilt, i have no idea how it even goes as i haven't even driven it, it's now sitting at the tune shop ready to go, i just need $500 to pick it up,
i have to then run the engine in and then i can go to the strip, can anyone give me a rough 1/4 mile time

The only way you are going to be able to estimate a 1/4 mile time is by knowing the weight and rwhp. After you find that out do a search for some 1/4mile time calculators which work out the time based on a perfect run. (no clutch slip, no mis-shifts, good launch etc)

I have not been to the track with it but with the calculator the supra @ 3500lbs (about 1600kg) with 383rwhp (@5000rpm as thats when it blew the crank seal out and spat oil out everywhere, got to love the hidden kinked hoses) it should run 11.8sec
but the weight of the supra will more likely be 3200-3300lbs and the rwhp is more likely going to be 400+ (just) so even thought in theroy its an 11sec car Im only aiming and will be happy with a 12, as the 1/4 time is not worth the $$$ it will cost to tune and then race it to get the max out of it.

I'd also be interested in a "theoretical" time for mine...
Stats are:
RWKW = 130
Weight = 1605 all up (Me + car + full tank)

Sorry I got so tied up with the bucks party i forgot I offered to run these numbers.
Anyhow ..
Ribbo
based on 62 rwkw and 1100 kg all up weight. Factoring in a small amount of wheelspin off the line and maybe a chirp into second, you're up for a flat 17 second 1/4 @128 kph. If you are going to dubbo for the 8th mile expect a 10.7 et.
Slick tyres will get your 1/4 down to 16.4.
Biased
Based on your figures you'd do a 15.2 sec 1/4 @ 145.6 kph. And a 9.62 sec 1/8th mile. Slick tyres will get you down to a 14.6 sec 1/4.
Out of interest my supra witha rear wheel figure of 220 rwkw as determined by Celicamad's Dynoplus, and using slightly higher wheelspin factors comes in dead on my average run 13.63, kph using this calculator is low at 165 kmh (actually 170+), typically low as this calculator doesnt really factor in turbos for the terminal speed.
note these are not perfect runs - wheelspin factors for two gears are used to get a more realistic time based on experience of the power figures and transmission type used for each car.
compare these times and get back to me, This is Celicamads program and i am sure he would aprreciate any feedback available.

hehe thanx
I was expecting better than that, basing it off bigworm getting a 17.03 sec 1/4 on a g-tech, although thats only a g-tech
and at that time I was a fair bit quicker than him...
but ill just have to get to the drag strip won't I

I have a 72 celi with pump-up RG in it
and it will do 15.3s @89
Here what been done to the engine and the car.
18RG
92mm bore 10.5 compression
ported head and ported intake
Cams 304/288
Stock 40mm carbs
stock ignition
stock fuel pump
2.5 inch exh and TRD header
5-speed trans
4.3 LSD rear-end
This car would be faster if I had bigger carbs
or EFI on the car.

So how did my predictions go against the times in Dubbo ??
G-tech has proven to be a little fast.
