You have no chance of getting a disc brake set up for a mini for under $300!!!!......try around 2k for a solid disc set up!
i`m only guessing you are new to mini`s and if so be prepared to spend massive$$$$$$ to get 1 to go well, and be reliable!!!!!...........There are plenty of mini forums out there so i suggest you ask them about your ideas..
cheers.

I agree, you are off with the fairies. my partner runs a pommy car parts import business, she sell new cooper S kits for $2000 regularly. this is all the new parts, hubs, CV, calipers etc. if you can accept a change up to 12" wheels, then a used kit is closer to $600 and a new set $1300 including 4 pot calipers. email esp@hypermax.net.au attn cindy , if you want new mini parts.
