FS: TA22 Celica Shell (FREE!!) Tue, 18 June 2002 07:30 Go to next message
Not blue one
'74 TA22, 5 speed, mags. Very unregistered. Pretty much stripped down, and almost ready for re-spray. No major rust. (Only surface rust where it was sanded back too far).

Well, at the rate I am going, she is being wrecked.
And most parts are available.
Don't want to part with the struts at the moment though (still need to be able to move it).

Didn't Rod have a couple for you??

Surely someone out there would like to take one (if not both) of these.
Looking for a good home for them where the job started will be finished.
Can look at arranging delivery (within reason). Unfortunately, Brisbane is a little too far away at this stage.
Prices are negotiable

The '73 one. Is that stripped? Or is it just a dead motor? I want one with pretty much everything except a motor.

No. The '73 one is together. Does have a motor, but the motor is RS. Tried to kick it over on the weekend, and won't fire anymore.

To save me the expense of relocating the shell to the tip, it's now free. Sad
So if anyone wants it, let me know, and it's yours. Note: It is only a rolling shell.

Sounds like a lot of folks want it but not sydneysiders ? man - id KILL for oa good straight shell for free

Come on Sydney or local boys - pull your finger out and help out Kerr ..

It would be a shame to see ANOTHER celica sent to the boneyards to be squashed..

hell a car trailer costs under 50 bux to hire - and a tank of juice - you get a straight shell for under 100 bux !

there has to be SOMEONE out there who wants it - or do you all own corollas these days

I did exactly that, grabbed a free shell. Now it gathers leaves in my carport cos it needs panel prepping for a spray, and i dont really have the nous to do it just yet, until all parts are accounted for. Too many other things on my mind atm =/

But ye, i agree with classique71. I know i am going to own another celica in my life, might as well be this one. Cmon fellas, you know u want ANOTHER celica Razz

grins - if i had the means to get it to south of melb and storage facilitys to keep it from the weather it would be mine now ..

Im in the middle of shifting though - so access baggage cant be accumulated ..

i mean - in sydney there has to be Someone - out of what - 2 or 3 million that would take it

Nah. Not the blue one. The other one under the covers.

Just for everyone's info, the shell is not perfectly straight.

Looks straight when everything is put on it, but underneath is quite a repair job from the early 80's where the passenger's side was swiped out.

I also have most of the parts off it lying around, so if anyone wants those, sing out... (but they are not free) Sad

Passenger side guard is OK. Not the straightest around though.
Fairly rust free. But will check under light tomorrow or something.

Thanks mate! I'm just toying with the idea of getting it sent up here!
It does'nt really need to be rust free, but just needs to be straight in the way that it does'nt need to be flexed to be fitted!
