Project 2JZ: the maiden voyage

I... drove... the 2JZ.
And I did a big skid!
Clutch is far from sorted, it still doesn't disengage properly but I can jam it into gear with enough force. Half of the car is still missing (ie no front end panels, no interior) but that didn't stop me going for a blat to the end of the street and back. Yeah baby!
Stay tuned, more to come.

It was an accident! I was tooling down the street in first gear, gave it maybe 1/4 throttle, it came on boost and lit up both tyres! I wasn't expecting that to happen with so little provocation... methinks this car is going to be rather quick once I get everything sorted.
Yes it will definitely be at the nationals if at all possible... I'm working hard to make it happen.

Let me guess, you've still got those really thin tyres on the back? 145's or something?

with all these people doing conversions (stenno included I see) people are going to start recognising the old supras and realise they're a weapon... it'll take away the sleeperishness!
Every time I head around to ray's place, there are 4 mk2 supras there, and mine is the 2nd slowest! (not counting the donor car without an engine)
I guess it shows toymods is gdoing a good job tho!

Water pump appears to be pumping! Everything fit perfectly and there are no leaks so I'm pretty happy. I'm just waiting for the engine fan to arrive and I'll be able to test the cooling system properly.
