XBox Chip Help Thu, 03 April 2003 06:39 Go to next message
Hi, I have read a few posts about xbox mod chips and I bought an xbox before xmas and the idea of chipping it seems too good to be true. So I am wondering if anyone in the Brisbane area can help me out in any way with this.

If you have any info you can provide me please either post it as a reply so others can get the info too, message me, or email me at kylerhsm@yahoo.com.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Do u have a chip in mind at all?
Did you wanna do it yourself or get someone to do it for you?

I will be doing this myself very soon! You can get the matrix mod that requires no soldering but these are about $50US if you order one on the net! You can also get them for about $60AUS if you know the right people to speak to Cool

Becareful with the matrix if u have a ver1.1 box.
They can be done without soldering but it is much easier and less hassle to solder them.
Apparently there is also a ver1.2 out now but i have yet to see one and not sure how they cope with mod chips yet.
If u have a ver1.0 then the matrix chip is absolutely the best option.
If u want more info pm me.

The date on the back of the box says 2002, 10, 06 so whether this is the 10th of june or the 6th october I am not sure so I am not sure of what version it is.

As for what chip I have looked at the matrix, ozxchip, and executor2 chip and they all seem to have all I want. I am pretty good with electronics and stuff so I reckon I could set it up myself if its not too hard. The main concern for finding someone in Brissie is that I dont have a credit card and would prefer to pick one up from somewhere and pay cash (or eftpos hehe), and have someone to help me out if I ended up having problems installing it.

So if anyone can help me in this regard that would be fantastic.
