Hi All,
Recently bought a 86 Corolla AE82, 4A-C. 1.6 Ltr carby. Nothing really special. Unfotunately, the water pump decided to take a long holiday and i can't drive the car anymore. Nope

Is it hard to replace the water pump in this vehicle?

How much will i be looking at?

If anyone could recommend a good company near the richmond area it would be most appreciated.

Thanx!

Dont know about the 4AC but a 4AGE is a bit of stuffing around, you have to undo the top engine mount and jack up the motor to get at it. It is about a 2-3 hour job if you are not 100% sure what you are doing.

Remember to use some loctite gaskets or similar if you do it yourself.

Are you From Richmond? I live out that way you may have seen me around....

How long are water pumps suppose to last for?

I don't at richmond, but that's where the car is at the moment.

You're talking about Richmond (Sydney) right? Near the RAAF Base?
