I have a ae92 that I paid $1990 for. The carby had the bomb (now fuel injected) so bad that it didn't idle. About two months later the starter motor solanoid got stuck on, $185 for it to be rebuilt. Then while still at the electricians I get a phone call to tell me that the alternator was had too! Since that has been repaired and about $1400 spent on it, its now an ok car. So, take a good look at it first and get the engine inspected or something first. As for mine at the end of the day with $3400 spent, its probably worth that or more now!
Hope this helps!

damn good little cars. The carby isnt too bad for a carby 1.6L (67kW from factory), but the options are well stacked in your favour for when you get the itch for some performance, with motors such as:
4A-FE (same as carby, but EFI)
4A-GE (sporty twincam EFI, 100kW)
4A-GE 20V Silvertop (110-120KW 20 valve motor)
4A-GE 20V BlackTop (newer version of above)
4A-GZE (supercharged 126kW FIEND!!)
some others if you have big $$$
Anyway, fun cars!
