Hey all
As the tite says
ill give u a list of things done
197X TA23
3T-GTE conversion - reconditioned 3-4 yrs ago
N/A Supra Gearbox
3 Inch exhaust from Turbo back
Microtech Digi Computer
Pressure tested - great result
Dynoed - 100 RWKW....which is what it should be
Surge Tank - Twin Fuel Pump
15x7 Front 15x8 Rear Simmons B45
K-mac springs, KYB shocks, 1 yr ago......Very nice suspension setup in this thing.....holds the road damn nice
Swaybars front and rear
RA28 Front Discs.....(not sure on this, how can i make sure they are RA28 Discs)
New Roof Lining
Front seats out of a 86 ST162, hold pretty nicely
Retrimmed Rear Seats
Momo wheel
Nice custom centre Console
Paint was done in 1998, taken back to baremetal, sandblasted, very nice deep dark purple....however 2 spots of rust have occured.... a little odd if u ask me
Brand new front and rear bumpers from toyota $300 each, spotless
the guy wants $10000
i feel as though this is a bit much as it only has the 3T-GTE in it, however he has done quite a bit so i think $8000 is a decent price for it
this is a workmates mates car BTW
What do u guys reckon ???

if i was buying it i wouldnt pay over $5000 and it would have to have no rust it dosnt sound particulary special or extraordinary

if the turbo setup is standard, I think it's a little high even given your eastern states base. Replace the standard crap with a custom manifold and a decent Garrett, and you're in the ballpark. I'd say the only way you'll ever repair every bit of rust from any restoration project is to fully strip the shell, and blast or dip it, which after doing that much to it, I'd not be selling for such an amount!

apparently when you take it back to the bare metal, unless yopu do a flawless job of cleaning the metal, rust comes thru.
$10 000 is a dreamers price. He's probably trying not to lose too much monmey (which is always what happens when you mod a car, especially an expensive respray like that)
just think of what else you could get for $10k... an excellent condition mk3 turbo supra.
$8k is still more than I would pay, but it's probably a fair price

RA28 brakes are the same as TA23 brakes dude.
Unless it had a balls worked off 3T-GTEU, unbelievable interior, everything was smooth as, no rattles, NO RUST, pristine chassis etc i wouldnt pay over $6000. But thats just me.

Actually.. there bigger.. TA23 brakes are the same as the TA22... The RA23 are the same as the RA28..
