Roll Cage Info Please

Hi, can someone please inform me on all the rules and regulations on putting a roll cage in a vehicle or where i can find out all of this information, as my car is going to go rally spec but i want to be able to keep it as an every day driver as well so i need to know all the rules and regs, any info would be great.

Go and check out the section at CAMS on ROPS (Roll over Protection Structures)

It's a good starting point, aslo make sure if you do get a cage (that is road legal - the tricky bit) make sure it is by a cams approved builder. Otherwise you won't be able to compete with it!

Also, in most states, to get it road legal with competition mods, it must be registered as a "Dedicated Rally Car" thus you need a good reason to have it on the roads outside of a competition event. Saying you were driving to work aint going to cut it!
So as Youngy mentioned, call the Cams office in your state, get a cams manual ($50 i think) read it and understand it before starting work, and call your states department of registration and licencing to make sure you can use it as a daily driver!
I've seen a number of people here in SA get caught out big time by not doing the research first!

ok thanks guys, its a tricky thing to do trying to make a rally car but be able to keep it as your every day car.
and no thats a turn off which is way towards the end of watagans near cessnock, its an intersection where three roads meet which makes a nice little triangle shape rally track
