The search for a parcel shelf PT2 Tue, 18 June 2002 13:31 Go to next message
Hey,

As some of you might know, I've been after a parcel shelf for quite a while...

Ive found that I might be able to adapt M/RA40/45 parcel "RectractaThingomajig" to fit the T-18 but id rather a shelf..

Has anyone seen one of these things before? i cant find a T-18 with one.. i check Every T-18 i see and looked at the local wreckers

If someone can draw me a diagram or give me some pointers on how it worked, itll be a great healp.. cause its got me fucked how it worked.. a photo will be the best help of all

Thanks,
Phill

If youve had a previous parcel shelf u can use that as a template and make a new one pretty easy. if not make a template of the area to be coverd use plywood or cardboard to get the best fit and get some material mdf chip board what ever u want n use that carpet it n hey presto Smile to make it open with the tailgate u need it to swivel on a point or use a hinge of some sort and hook up some string to the tailgate so it opens. I remade one for the AE82 coz i had speakers on it and wanted to coneal them so i made a new tray at work being able to have access to material machines etc piece of cake didnt cost me nething just the time to do it and turned out sweet.
