I was told that the 4AGZE and the 4AGE (100kw) have the same internals and i wouldn't have any problems getting the ZE gear and adapting it to my current engine. However i still have my doubts so that is why i'm here Smile is it possible to do this and still have a reliable engine? would it cost more than it would be worth compared to buying a complete GZE package? is there much else needed other than the abvious stuff like ECU, S/C, fuel injection etc?

thanks

1. no they don't have the same internals, gze has much stronger ones designed for boost.
2. yes it would be fairly easy to adopt the gze supercharger and stuff to the ge as they have same block etc.
though id say u would have to do something about the ecu

this exact thing is sold as a package, though not cheap, more info at www.club4ag.com

they got faily good results with it
but not going to be as reliable as the gze due to internals

Yeah I'm pretty sure there are a few differences!

The GZE compression is much lower (8.0 or 8.9) and has forged / coated (later models) pistions. Oil squirter's as well as bigger injectors and the computer differs as well!

For the price of a halfcut it would be worth thinking about just getting a AE92 / AE101 GZE cut?

Cheers

Basically, the entire rotating assembily is different, from pistons/rods & crank to the cams aswell. Its also much much stronger.

If you do want to go S/C, Do yourself a favour and get the complete 4AGZE. They can be found cheap as piss. (mine only cost me $650, complete with Loom and ECU. I got another without S/C or ECU for only $300 as a development hurdle/parts engine)
