exhaust for an 18RGU Mon, 07 April 2003 11:15 Go to next message
the time has come to put a big exhaust on my 18RGU in my Corona, i was thinking upon the lines of 2.25 inch all the way thru with 1 muffler and 1 resonator, i hate these cars u hear coming from 3 miles off cause of the f&^$%ed up exhaust, some cars sound mad {anything turbo} and some sound ratshit {gem with 3.5 inch staright thru}.
i already have tuned length extractors, looking to keep it under $300 {keep in mind i get trade discount as i work for mitsubishi parts}

18R-GU's respond well to a good free-flowing exhaust, and they actually sound good as well! I'm running a 2.5" system which sounds awesome and goes really well; it's a bit on the loud side but that could be improved with a good muffler as opposed to the cheapie straight-through one I'm using. 2.25" should work fine as well... I chose 2.5" because I intend to turbocharge the engine.
