What sort of oil should i use?? I have ask around and have had many different answers. I have also read on these forms that some people are running as high as 24 psi boost, The most that i can run is about 12psi on optimax with out it pinging.. (I have a supra inter cooler, MTX8 and forgies with a comp of 7.2.) not that i want run more boost I was wondering how can you run such high boost?

when does it start pinging?
at any particular rev?
at any particular psi?
pinging can be fixed by retarding the timing or giving it more juice

You should be able to run more boost at the expense of ignition timing but if your happy with 12 PSI then just leave it as is. A few more PSI does/can make a big difference then especially with a Compression ratio of 7.2 !!!
As for oil I use BP course plus in my 2TG's (includeing my 2TGTEU) was recommended to me buy a guy who runs a 3TGTE and gives it alot of abuse. I've been really happy with it.
Just avoid anything to thin as they are an old engine with large tolerances !
