I just received my new gear box! I was told its a W58 but the importer couldnt tell me what it came off! I asked if they had written anything on it but they said no! But when I look at it, I see LY80 2LT written on it as you can see in the picture! Anyone know or heard of an LY80? [Report message to a moderator]

by the looks of that sandwitch plate thats a W58 for sure dont know about the LY80 code tho there are L series diesel engines so maybe its out of a hulix 2WD diesel ute EDIT: there is a good chance its from a 2WD hilux or hiace as the L series engine is: L series (4 cylinders, 2.2-2.8L) [Updated on: Wed, 09 April 2003 04:27] [Report message to a moderator]

Thanks. I have been told that these are fitted to some 4X4's but I was just worried about the gearing! I'm hopeing that the gearing is the same no matter what it came out of! [Report message to a moderator]
