Sure can!
The word "turbo" timer should be used loosely. All the timer does is hook into your cars ignition wires to bypass the key so it can be safely removed then turn the car off after the set period of time is up - this allows your turbo/engine to cool down

i was told it was to allow the turbo to spin at idle speed before the oil feed (engine) was shut-off, therefore reducing turbo wear?
wouldnt idling it stationary add to the heat becuase of little air-flow under the hood?

Toycelica - you're probably right, i really don't know what it does under the hood
all i do know is its a fairly simple device that keeps your car running after you've turned off the key as it only hooks up to your ignition. It can be wired into any car pretty much - even one without a turbo or supercharger!

Yep, a "turbo timer", as said is just a way to get you car to idle for a certain period once you have taken the key out!
The reason is because if you ave just been thrashing you turbo car and the turbo is doing 20000 rpm, if you turn your motor off the turbo has no oil while it spins down (oil pump runs off crank)! So leaving the motor idling gives the turbo time to spin down while still being lubricated.

Think about the rice appeal!
You cant pay for that kind of exposure in the flooded market of uber riced cars...well you can...in the form or a NA car with turbo timer!!

Reminds me of a time we went to Alberts car stereo in Vic Park over here. We'd just finished looking at the guys car (the wicked 4STAIR JZA70), my mate turns around and looks at this Integra parked next to it. He sees the turbo timer under the gauges and asks him if it was turbocharged...guy looks at us and starts chuckling..."no".
