When: Friday 18th April, 9:30AM
Where: M4 truckstop, right next to Caltex(?) Service Centre, Prospect.
Destination: Dubbo, & the Toyota Nationals!
Hey guys, this'll just be an unofficial meetup for those that'd like to make the pilgrimage as part of a Toyota convoy. We have to be there at 5 at the very latest, as this is when registration closes. We should have plenty of time however to comfortably make the time, remember that long weekend double demerits will aply.
Anyway, we'll follow the M4 west, then just follow the main road to Dubbo, which will take us through Katoomba, Lithgow, then Bathurst, where I propose we make a quick rest stop. I reckon I might be keen to stop in for a couple hours on the way home on monday might be a good idea too, see if the racing museum is open.
The next main town after Bathurst is ORANGE, where I insist we stop so I can take a photo of my car under a big "Welcome to Orange" sign. 
Then it's just a little further, through Molong & Wellington & then we hit Dubbo.
I think most of us are staying at The Matilda Inn, which will make registration easy & quick. I have no idea wherte in Dubbo it is, or where anything in Dubbo is for that matter, hopefully someone with a little more Dubbo knowledge can lead the way?
I'll most likely buy myself a Dubbo map anyway.
So put up a post if you're joining the convoy!
And let me know of any ideas of questions.

i was planning on going thursday night but i think i'll go with you guys... its all about being a group and i want this trip to be as fun as in the past.... I promise not to go too fast hehe.
Should be easy since there is only about 10 toyota's coming from toymods.. thats not too big a convoy.

I'll also have my mate Luke (in the black GT4) there as well.
Don't forget to have your UHF's guys! Would be cool having random chat channels open on the long trek - esp if i dont get my stereo finished by then!
max - the truckstop is around 5 mins (or less) east of the wonderland on-ramp... and bring that busted UHF too (if its still busted)....

I'll be there - Most likely at the Truckstop.. Max, don't be a girl - It doesn't take much longer to get there than it does the Wonderland area.
I'll also have the UHF handy, and the Police Channels programmed in.

I'll have UHF, lucid... do u know the codes to program in dubbo police radio? just out of interest?? All my channels are set for syd police radio.
Should be a great drive!! can't wait!

heya luke, i cant remember if you have the tx3200 or the 3400, but you cant program channels yourself, you need the programing lead from standard communications (GME) that plugs into you computer. i used to have a tx3600 and the programing lead but i sold all that gear last year unfortunatly, i will get the dubbo police frequencys for you though, that way if you have a scanner you guys can listen in.

Hey Luke, i didn't program my unit myself, so i'm not too sure what the frequencies are. I seem to have had luck picking up the relevant authorities everywhere i've gone so far though!!
(including Byron/Gold Coast/Brisbane etc). Pretty much wherever you go i think most of the cops re-use the same frequencies anyway, so you SHOULD be right.

My my vague estimation we should be going through Lithgow at around 11:30, depending on traffic & all that.
I don't want to dawdle, but it is double points.
I just hope my speedo's functioning acurately by then.....

Don't talk to me about rain! I had a full days tuning planned, but now its raining we can't put the weideband sensor on so can't monitor fuel! GRRRR
We did however wire up the knock sensor and dial in another 5 degrees of timing Much better now.
