brake conversion for corona? Fri, 11 April 2003 01:10 Go to next message
ok, i was going to convert to 6 stud wheels and fit landcruiser brakes to the front but i cannot get any wheel bearings to fit so...what are other options. I need 280mm ventilated discs to make it legal. I found out the VL and previous commodores use the same hubs but i don't think the brakes are big enough. I got quoted $1200 to fit VL hubs with new VS rotors and VS calipers! Any cheaper options? By the way the car will only be used for drag racing and just cruising around on the street so no excessive brake usage.

thanks in advance
chris

i read the article and have a few questions.

1. i don't actually have a corona hub at the moment so...are these 4 stud?

2. do they have the rotors attached to them or can you just unbolt them?

3. Would '97 4WD lancruiser calipers be suitable? as i already have some of these.

thanks
chris
