Hey i was wondering if anyone could list the goodies the RA celica's have... as in Gearboxes, engines (power) strength of the engines/drivelines faults etc.
Oh and if they can WRAP well... i herd the 22RE has allot of torque for rippin em up.

RA23: Motor: 18R, 18R-C?, 18R-G (or was that only the RA28?) Gear Box: W40?, W50, auto (whos cares!)
RA28: AS FOR RA28
RA40: 18R-C W50
RA60: 20R-C W57?, W58
RA65: 22R-E W57? ,W58 (IRS)
Not sure on what size diffs! Some of the gearboxes might be wrong as well! And the powers you can prbly get from this site.
Cheers
Wilbo

All of the above have 6.7" T series diffs except for the RA65 which has either T series of F series (7.5").

The "Supra" boxes are only found in the RA6X and the SA63 Celicas.

ra6x have w58 or (w55?)
they're still a fairly tough box. by old one got a bit of a beating (as did the engine) and neither of them died on me

from past experience owning a ra23 with 18rg, ta22 with 2tg and ra65 with 22re (one stock and one worked) the 22re (stock and/or worked) was always the first to 'accidentally' break traction at unexpected times probably due to the amount of torque it carries, a lot of US people modify the 22re with very pleasing results

ra23/28 and 40's had 4:1:1 diff;s.. not sure on the ra60's but you can put ra40 diff into ra60 no prob (non irs)
the only thing i have heard about with the celica diffs is the selector shaft snapping i knwo from experience i have broken 2 ehe but yeah the 22re's are very torquey engines and brake traction very easy
