The serial number doesn't really mean anything, you need the tranmission code. Unfortunately you won't find this on the box itself, but if it's in a car you can find the tranmission code on the vehicle's build plate.

the car was bought off JAZE who said he was told it was a W58 and now im wrecking the car.

He then came to buy the gearbox off me and unsure if it is or not.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Andrew, for what it's worth, the serial code on my box is A90700661, and it's a non-LSD AE92 GZE box.

See the darker inch and a bit thick bit in the middle of the box? That my friend is the sandwich plate! If it is made of steel, then its a W58!
