Hey,

I would like to know the procedure for putting an sc14 on to a 4agze.. or links to a site that outlines what needs to be done, this is more out of curiosity than anything else Smile

Thanks

-Andrew

Have you done a search of these forums?

From what I remember, you have to reroute a couple of water pipes up the back since the SC14 is longer than the SC12.

Maybe try 4agze.com (I think that's the url....)

I purchased an SC14 "kit" from another toymods dude.

All you need is:
1. SC14
2. Modified SC bracket
3. Plumbing to and from the IC

The SC14 runs out of huff at about 140kw at the wheels, probably a bit less on a 4AGZE with standard intake manifold etc.

Have you got pics of the kit?

The SC14 is longer than the sc12 and interferes with the intake plumbing. So if you want to fit it you need custom fabrication. Much better to go turbo.

The kit I have is from an AE86.

Point 2 helps address the fitment issues. It sits the SC lower and a little further forward.

Anything in particular you'd like to see?

I've got the:
- SC14
- modified SC bracket
- modified SC inlet pipe and ABV
- SC throttle body

Uses the stock inlet manifold and the IC piping assumes a top mount IC.

Grabbed this pic from another forum. You can see the issues involved with fitting a longer SC.

I'd be interested to see any pics of the kit fitted.

OK I've looked at the pic and I can't see the problem.

The yellow butterly nut is the oil filler for the SC. To the immediate left (with 2 hoses feeding up to the TB) is the intake pipe post TB and pre SC.

Perhaps there are clearance issues with the blob hanging from the back of the GB. Is that the starter motor??

Take this with a grain of salt as my setup came from an AE86. FR is much easier than FF. I'll try and dummy up the install on a dead 4AGE in the garage.

Take a look at this site - http://www.marlincrawler.com/bm/mr2/v2_0/specs/ind ex.html. This is in an MR2 but is using an AE92 4AGZE with an SC14. I do have some more detailed engine pictures if needed.
