heading straight for the kerb/gutter at 30-40kms. let go of the wheel closed my eyes. woke up as i felt the car move somewhere.. saw a oncomming car stop. somehow i managed to sneak into the midle isle ending up on the otherside of the road and roundabout.. so shocked so i drive off to inspect the damage.. hesitation and heavy steering.. this is what happened Crying or Very Sad

it was my fault i didn't down shift to 2nd.. and other factors are the drive train etc..

i couldn't react.. i saw the kerb only cm's away.. sigh

nah its just that he didnt draw the road on the other side of the roundabout

that road under the roundabout is 2 lanes heading in one direction

and he does a 180 around the roundabout

Stuart,
Have you found a drive shaft? If not try Southern Drive Shafts 02 9540 9530 they might be able to help you out

Definately you will need another contorl arm, you can pick one up from a wrecker for ~$30.

Probably balljoint and another driveshaft. Take the wheel off and have a good look to see if there is anything else bent.

If you get all the parts together I can come around and install it.

Gary - Number noted .. Got another driveshaft by luck - its in - and im rolling again - Still peeved at the price setup - but i needed one * yesterday *

Still checking to see if Shanes fecked st205 shafts are the same ..

ironically they gave my other one back - the shaft itself was fine - just the yoke bit at the end was buggered - so i have one VGC driveshaft - just with no end bit ..

Keeping that puppy up my sleeve just incase - had to fight like a scrag to get it though - lots of swearing spitting and pulling of hair

TADA!

its not too bad doing the drive shaft and control arm for the LH. It's shorter and quicker todo.

Now my wheel is alittle more straight.. just needs the toe in to be aligned.. and of course wheel alignment.. that will be done tommorow! wooooooooooo topppp stuff! Very Happy

i dont mind getting down and dirty (working under the car)
