NRMA Crap

OMFG... NRMA reckons that my car is worth $3800...
What a joke!!!
Two people checked it and came up with the same thing...
There has to be a mistake somewhere...
They aggreed to $8500 last year, now this year it's dropped to $6300... What a croc...
Are there any other good insurance complanies that take into account no claim bonuses from other insurance companies, will insure under 25 drivers and are cheap for cars with mods???

i dont think just cars would've said that. They insured me at age of 22 with the GT4. It cost me $4200 for comprehensive but the car was insured for $44,000 at the time.

just shop around again benny, im sure you cen get something better
just cars is good for insuring the unisurable... but sometimes their premiums are just a biiiit too high for my likings...
For instance:
Yours truly, to insure with 3rd party property
RA28 Celica
2L twincam (stock factory option, 18R-GU)
Simmon wheels value $500
Steering wheel value $40
and maybe one or two other things....
$650!!
ok i might have 0% no cliam....(3 accos in 3 years), but even NRMA was cheaper (without listed mods tho) by $230.
Food for thought

I think that's a fucking fantastic price. Just Car Insurance offer $5 million of third party liability cover. Which means that any damage you cause up to a total of five million dollars, they will pay for.
Now, statistics say that once every year you are going to have an accident. The chances of the accident you will have this year costing them less than $650 is very low. I'd say that they've probably priced your third party insurance quote about $2000 too low.

3rd party property....23...1ggte celica
Last year 450
This year 750
why .. because of an accident + claim
still i reckon the car i wrote off was worth 2k... so all in all, still worth buying insurance..
DONT leave home without it !

shannons if you can get them
just cars wouldn't say that.. their motto is they will insure anyone, no matter the car or the record.
of course, that can mean they want $8000 for comprehensive (like my friend's MKIV)

Maybe you could try Swann ??
I'd never heard of them until recently. I only came by them through my finance broker (needed a small loan to buy car & they hunted down insurance options for me too). They offered me my ratings 1 protection as well (no more than 3 "at fault" claims every 5 years) & were significantly cheaper than any others I looked at.
