nah the back isn't/wasn't damaged. The bootlid had a tiny bit of rust on it, and we got the bootlid off a written off ae86 for free... so why not fit it... : )
which parts did u want to separate... nothing's comming off the car. but might consider the other bits...such as the spare engine.
yes it is the factory 100kW age

Sale of the spare engine and 20v head will have to wait till we get some offers on the car, as the new owner may want the bits with it.
However... if u make a decent offer we will sell the bits, in order to make the price of the car cheaper.
My mate and I have spent more than we're asking for, and are not in it for a profit. Simply both have purchased new rides, and need the $$.

i thought the "blue top" IS the 86kW rear wheel drive (FR - meaning Front[mounted]-Rear[drive]) engine? (which also features TVIS, but is removable)
and that "red top" refers to the 100kW front wheel drive (FF) engine?

I was just having a go ... 
To sum up, the Blue top generally refers to the 86kw versions which came with TVIS. Regardless of FF or FR, it got the nick Blue top as the lettering on the top cam covers were mostly blue.
The Red tops then refers to the next generation of 100kw 4AGE's which (surprise surprise) had red letters on the top covers.
Now here's where the confusion arises - both cam covers are swappable so you may find an engine with the wrong colour cams on it if it's been swapped. The only way to tell which one you have is (1) whether there is TVIS attached (86kw blue top) and (2) size of the ports (big - 86kw blue top; small - 100kw red top).
To end it off with the other confusion, the last generation of 86kw engines actually came with red lettering as well however also had TVIS. Apparently these were only available in the first generation of certain AE92's.
Here's a pic of my 2nd engine which is one of these rare 4AGE's - it's got pink injectors btw (usually 86kw have red, the 100kw have green ones):

the easiest way to tell what format of car it came from is if the throttle body has the 'hole' at the campulley end (RWD/Longitudinal) or if its on the flywheel end (FWD/Traverse)

the engine is this car would have to be from one of these two cars, or the engine is a normal 86kw bluetop

not sure which engine the spare is. I will take pics of the spare engine and will post it in due course. The one in the car is a 100kWer though.

i am interested in the clutches. I have the 100kw motor in my sprinter, they haul ass pretty good for such a little car!
Have you got any heavy duty clutches in good nick for sale? I am at the stage where i am thinking of putting in a button clutch. I need something to tame all that horsepower! hehehe

I wouldnt get too caught up in the cam cover colours..its quite common for them to be swapped around and there were many hybrids with bits of both engines combined as development went on.
uhmm maybe you want to have a closer look at your picture Dodgy
looks like it could be 86Kw to me or if not then a bigport/7Rib hybrid as found in some late AE82 Seca's (these were some really good engines!!!)
heres some clues....
the intake manifold is not ribbed
the ignition leads are not of the thin variety but are fat like an 86Kw
the thermostat plug/sensor looks like its off the old style loom
however the injectors and loom plugs do appear to be from a 100Kw ill give you that
It could be that this is an AFM MR2 GE????
