He is probably referring to the US Factory manuals which are used by Toyota technicians whenever servicing AE86's. They cover everything from body, chasis, electrical etc for both 4AGE and 4AC versions. As it is a US publication, I believe they only cover Trueno's & not Levins but how different can they be?

My understanding is that these manuals are no longer in print and most Toyota dealerships are too lazy to order them in even if you give them the part no.

I should be getting my hands on two copies hopefully in the next month so will probably be selling one but don't expect it to go cheap.

One just sold off Ebay for $123 US + $40 US postage. Shocked

Here's a link re more info:

Toyota may not get you a copy of the manual but if you apy them enough they will copy it for you, in a properly binded book. well with a ring binder and a plastic cover but it does the job.

Do you have one of these Evosti?

If so can I borrow it and put the whole damn lot into some digital format, like some nice big pdf that you can print off whenever you need info.

I can't believe it is not a public service....... Rolling Eyes

Hi Evosti,

Just sent you a PM

I found this which may help some on the manual search from a US forum:

Call the Toyota Materials Distribution Center at 1-800-622-2033. The part numbers for the factory service manual are:
1985 Corolla FR = 36241A
1986 Corolla FR = RM003U
1987 Corolla FR = RM040U

Apparently it is AE86 related!

Sorry for not replying earlier...

The sprinter manual I have is labelled "Corolla FR for USA & Canada. Pub no. 36220A". Inside it says it's for the 1984 Corolla FR (2-Door Coupe and 3-Door coupe), AE86 series. It doesn't cover any of the 4AGE stuff for some reason tho.

I also have a 4AGE engine manual (RM063E, although it's not mine, just borrowing it) and the 4A-FE Supplement (RM084E). Along with the Body & Chassis manuals for FWD Corollas ranging from AE82 up to AE101, along with a Celica/Carina Body&Chassis manual (TA6x/RA6x series). Ooh and a 1S/2S/3S engine manual (series 1).

Unfortunately my scanner is also on the blink.. making a horrible grinding noise Shocked
