well i have been on some big gemini cruises {brother inlaw} and they are well orchestrated, they meet at the sunshine coast first, then roll down to aspley maccas where more cars join then on to hyperdome carpark, then to the broadwater car club, on one we had 54 cars, just imagine 50+ gems, all with 2.5 inch or bigger exhaust going down the highway
LOUD and SHITTY.
point: we should do some shit like that, like arrive at coast at about 9 or so, so we can all get parks together, when 50+ gems arrive there at 11pm do u think we could get together, hell no,

all up for something like that soon reply to this thread

i think we should orginise a time and place in about 3-4 weeks, make sure it is planned well and get confermations on cars that will definatly be there (perhaps peoples phone numbers?). perhaps ask the toymods club to be an unofficial cruise? dont know the legal implications of that with though. it would take time to gather interest but if we could get people to actually come it would be great!

there was a cruise a few weeks ago search for' brissy/ goldcoast cruise' or something and 40 cars were susposed to turn up only 13 did. that seemed to be the problem.

anymore ideas anyone?

Daniel.

PS TRD78 your getting an a 18rg for your celica, should be awesome! how is the celica shop going.

i would love to... but...

my throwout bearing just shagged itself, not that its a problem, i fixed it today, but when i had the gearbox out i noticed 2 1ml grooves in the outer edge of my flywheel...

clutch is slipping to buggery now (i dont think i should've disrupted it), i'll ahve to wait till the 1G goes in before i do any serious cruising Sad

BWCP is full of wankers and the cops know thats where they go so don't be alarmed if you get pulled up and inspected. And my idea of a cruise isn't sitting in traffic through surfers for half an hour just to travel 2k!!

Just my two cents.

Re: goldcoast cruises?? Sat, 17 May 2003 12:48 Go to previous messageGo to next message
k, lets get this going, how about ppl from the northside meet at aspley maccas at say 7.00, then be at carpark next to library out the back of the hyperdome, then all roll down to the coast and try to be there at about 9.00,

if these times dont really sound feasible please say now so it can be arranged,

there can be cockheads sometimes but MOST ppl are out to have fun and shit, last time cops were just doing breathalisers and license checks, if u wanna stay outta trouble just roll with someone else or drive sedate so they dont single u out

So roughly 8 at the Hyperdome? I'll be there and I'll try get as many others to get there as i can... Yeh i agree with Banshee, i don't think cruising the esplanade is a good idea on saturday nites... traffic is ridiculous... aside from that i don't mind where we go... C U ALL saturday

i'll be there a little bit before 8.00, yeh u cant freaking move down the esplanade since they cut off the return road Mad ,
we can roll down to the spit if anythings happening down there ot just do laps or whatever,
apparently last week there was so many ppl at the BWCP that ppl had to park OUTSIDE on the main road Shocked
