that's a nice piece of work! more info please
what's the old one? stock 7MGTE? what is it's diameter compared to the new ones (also curious to compare with the 22RE one i have which is 55mm, compared to the 4KE one of 40mm)
would it be worth smoothing the sharp edges before the butterflies?

yes yes, im giving this one to shane as i figured i dont really want it anymore, and well, he could prolly do with it for the 3s....
old corollas - the orginal was just a stocker 7m 60mm unit. this one is a twin 57mm plate design, from a 2001 Mustang Cobra 4.6L (about 302hp?). I bought it off EBay for about AUD$80 landed from california. Its being used with an early 7mge intake plenum from 1986/87 NA supras (only this model).
the originalthrottle body connects to a Y pipe, which obviously divides before hitting the plenum in two places. it 'should' just be a simple case of lopping the Y pipe in half width wise (so there's basically 2 bits of pipe sticking out from the plenum) and welding a throttle body base plate to these arms... then bolt the new t/b to that base plate...
not sure exactly how flow will be effected at small openings, so im designing a log or sine rising rate throttle cable cam to give me some throttle control
cheers

How are you planning to mate the Y pipe from the inlet manifold to the new TB?
I see you said your going to chop the end off the Y, but what are you going to do with it then?

once the Y pipe is chopped in the correct position, ill weld a custom throttle base plate to the Y pipe. the throttle body will then bolt to this
